We love what we do and want to ignite that passion in you too. Everyone is welcome: creatives, curious minds, young-at-heart, wild spirits, well-behaved individuals, transnational folk, knitters, crocheters, originals. Knit Knit is the place where all threads come together. We create a creative space without pressure or obligation; where we try things out, help each other, collaborate, learn from one another, share stories, and inspire each other. Come in peace, come-in-unity!

R - Respect

The sweet, woolly sheep aren't shorn for nothing... and neither are the alpacas, goats, and yaks. The value of the material becomes immediately apparent when humans and wool form a symbiosis through knitting. Freedom and responsibility go hand in hand: #mulesingfree. Knitting promotes our awareness of the environment and the resources used, which we continuously incorporate into our decisions. Even though we operate in fashion, we don't consider sustainability a buzzword. With Slow Fashion, we make a statement against the overproducing waste of fast industry. Every Knit Piece has a soul.

E - Empowerment

Can I knit it? Yes, you can! We know this because we’ve been teaching people to knit for 10 years and always get to see happy, knitting faces at the end. The feeling of creating something with your hands and creatively realizing your own ideas is very satisfying. It's not about being perfect; you can simply play with the material, experiment, and even freestyle. Knitting should be fun! We support our Knit Knit Knitters with simple, cool instructions and videos. Whether you're a beginner, getting back into it, or an old knitting pro, our wool is for everyone!

A - Assortment

Alpaca, Merino, Cashmere, Angora, Cotton, Lyocell... what the Yak?! There are so many different types of wool that it's easy to feel overwhelmed. That's why we select the best types of wool and different qualities for you. At Knit Knit, you'll find a small but fine curated selection. We research, search, test, and find, paying attention to ethics and aesthetics. We place great importance on high-quality yarns and small manufacturers. Everything with us is Knit Knit proofed. Based on these principles, we also developed our own Knit Knit wool: WOOHOO!

T - Trend

Back to Wool! From teenagers to grandpas in rocking chairs! The (pre)conception about knitting is that it's old. It's a craft that has been passed down from generation to generation. Based on this ancient knowledge, there are now so many great knitting styles, techniques, and patterns that we can playfully and creatively use to create new things. Knitting, embroidering, and crocheting are simply post-postmodern phenomena. Everyone's doing it! We find out where the trend is heading and put together our discoveries as Knit Kits for you. This way, we, the designs, and the needles always stay in motion.

E - Ease

Prettier, faster, better, younger: what stress! We want to bring calm to a hectic world. Knitting has a meditative effect – the monotonous movement is relaxing. There's an endorphin explosion, and in the end, you even have a sweater. It doesn't get much better than that! Knitting is decelerating: you make yourself comfortable, take time for yourself, do something good for yourself, and let your soul dangle. It's not just about the result, but also about the process itself. You could say knitting is the yoga of do-it-yourself. But beware! So much relaxation and happy hormones are addictive, you could easily get hooked ;) Now we say: Oooooooohhhmmm!
